My First Ride's Last Ride.

The sad day has finally come. Ive been trying to sell my first truck for the last couple years but have been unsuccessful. So after a long stressful decision, I have decided that I am going to stay...but my truck, it had to go.

Little Dat had been in the family since her birth in 1980. Almost everyone in the family had driven her at some point. As a family we also had many, many vacations in her(though im still shocked to this day how we all fit in there). But as with all good things, there comes an end.

It is at this time that we now say goodbye to my little baby.

Goodbye old girl, We will miss you!!!

So there I was minding my own business when out of the blue came a rouge fishing trip to rival all others, The Tuna Trip of August 08. This may have been the best idea that has ever come out of this amazing brain of mine. Everything on this trip just fell right together, we got the trip we wanted, the boat was fantastic, the best of all best—we got into fish. We got into loads and loads of fish, so many in fact that we beat the record on the boat. We scored 59 of the most fantastic chicken in the sea.
So first fish I landed just happened to be the biggest fish of the whole trip, haha Josh and Zach!! That big beefy, I mean chicken, beast took me nearly a half hour to land. I was so worn out after the fantastic ordeal; my pole arm was cramping, and my legs were shaking, I was ready for a nap.

Newport With The Fam

So there I was minding my own business, when out of the blue came this rogue phone call from Rick. He was calling to let me know that he and his family were coming up to visit. So while they were up here they wanted to go to the coast and stay for a couple of days. While they were out there I wanted to stay overnight with them but my truck decided to break and needed to go to the hospital, sad:( So I just went out for the day.It was cold and foggy but we still had fun. I was very surprised, little miss shy Hailey decided that I was ok and wanted to hang out with me and Charlie (she even chose me over Rick at one point).
So anyway good times were had by all. Oh, right I almost forgot, I also booked my deep sea tuna fishing trip; best idea ever!!

So there I was minding my own business, when out of the blue came this rogue invitation came to me by one of my friends; "Wanna come to california with us, we have an empty seat?" What was I to say but yes. So there we were. I got the time off, except for the one day that I called in "sick." The drive down and back were terribly long, around five hours longer than they should have, but we made it. We went to Pismo Beach and had planned on staying in a park in a rented trailer. After getting there and seeing the trailer we were given things got heated. The trailer they gave us was nothing like what was supposed to come. Super long story short, we somehow ended up in a really nice house just off the beach. Good times were had, oceans were swam in, and things were eaten.

These guys were apperantly hoping to catch something.

This little guy was hoping something would come from this little Business Time Dance.

We went to a farmers market while we were there and had some delicious food, mmm...

Apperantly no dogs are allowed at the farmers market, sorry Charlie youve been targeted specifically.

I named this seagull Hannibal, yes thats another seagull.

Call me crazy but something tells me that this particular street is a dead end.

Sorry Hobos, not here.

Shes So Hot!!!

So there I was minding my own business, when out of the blue came this rogue vacation plan, Sand Hollow. This trip has kind of become a regular event for me. The first time I went was when I was living in St. George, I read in the paper that there was a new reservoir being built just across the road from Quail Creek; I was thrilled. I did some research and found that it was opening up the beginning of summer. The trip was soon planned. So one fateful day in, we’ll call it the end of march, Susan and I made our way to Mecca. The moment I first layed eyes on her I was in love. She was so beautiful with her red rock, turquoise water, and delicious bass. I knew that this was a relationship that would last. Sand Hollow and I would love each other forever and ever; there would be no fighting, no quarreling, no spats – nothing but good old fashioned adoration and devotion.
So that time of year came around I the first of june where I was aching for the sweet love and had been missing out on over the last year. So with the date set for June 5, plane tickets were bought, gear was rounded up and the trip was on.
For some reason this year the fishing was not as good as it was last year, but whose complaining right, whether it be the water level being five feet higher than last year, the weather being cooler longer, the phases of the moon, or Brians stinky shorts – possibly a combination of them all, or maybe just the latter. We did catch fish just not a large amount and not many of the large variety, but the fun was still had.
This trip was also of course complicated with the event of the wonderful maid stealing from our room. Of course nothing was done about it, the desk clerk was a moron who didn’t seem to understand the words coming out of my mouth, nor I his, and his solution was to tell us that they were not supposed to take things from the room and therefore the event must not have occurred; bless our great non-crime-committing nation. Oh and also call in the maid and ask her in front of us if she did it, like she would admit to it – genius.

Memorial Day Fun

So there I was minding my own business, when out of the blue came this rogue thought; its Memorial Day and I need to celebrate. So with nothing to do, and it being my day off, I figured the best way to celebrate the memory of those loved ones who have passed on would be to have a bon fire and burn stuff. Yes thats right I celebrated the memory of the dead by burning some dead stuff. I thought it was fitting, grotesque, but fitting. Oh and the best part was while I was moving piles of branches to the disposal site I found this delicious slug. Aint he purdy.

Grandmothers Day

So there I was minding my own business, when out of the blue came this rogue holiday, Mothers Day (or in my case Grandmothers Day). Went down to the Manor to go visit Grandma on sunday for the big holiday. Brought her some lilacs and her gift from mom and dad, which I of course forgot and had to go back for. Aside from her enjoying her gifts and the company there isnt a whole lot to say. For now Grandma is doing well, as best as she can considering her situation. Heres the pictures from my visit.

At first Grandma couldnt get her gift open. Mom had chosen some plastic wrapping paper that proved to be too much for her so she called in some reinforcements, Grandpas pocket knife. After having gotten it open she just wanted to stare at it for hours. I finally talked her into looking away for a minute and giving me a cheesy smile.
